Great local spot with a very cool menu. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and the place had a very intimate feel (although I’ve driven by this place while it was packed). Lots of interesting drinks, both gold and cold, and the bites all sounded tasty. We got the mango mint mocktail, biscoff, and even got to try Natalia’s favorite kiwi pineapple drink. All were so good and the service was even better. The pistachio cake was also a nice surprise. I think Natalia and the rest of the stuff really made our first experience amazing and it surely won’t be our last!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday with a friend and had such a great experience! The staff were super friendly and cheerful — welcoming without being overbearing. The vibe was relaxed with great music in the background. The chai and baklava were delicious, but the real star was the cheese-filled pastry — absolutely heavenly. Perfectly warm, flaky, and satisfying. Found plenty of street parking with lots of shade. Definitely a cozy spot worth visiting in San Mateo. I’ll be back!

What a gorgeous place! I've not been to the Middle East but this cafe's interior decor takes you there with its gold embellishments, dark wood, aqua colored seating and exotic decorative pieces. We were a party of 6 coming in post lunch on a Thursday so we were fortunate to find seats. I've been here a couple of times and it's always busy. The baristas are pleasant and take great care in crafting your drinks. The presentation of our turkish coffees was delightful, as we all ooohed and aaahed. Be prepared for a strong brew and hit of caffeine. The sahlab is creamy with coconut and pistachio lining the top. I've had the Dark Forest Latte which is a decadent rich very thick chocolate coffee. They have the Dubai hanafah bars (only $14!) and a cake that tastes like its namesake. Delicious! I couldn't find anything I was able to eat gluten-free. On this visit unfortunately the cafe also didnt have decaf coffee beans. So, I just sat in their cozy seats and enjoyed the company of my colleagues in an absolutely beautiful setting.

Busy place with nice decor and a quiet crowd. Long menu of desserts and coffee. Good Wi-Fi, but few tables for work. Our order was forgotten and we had to remind after 30 minutes of waiting. Sultan Lokumu is average. Chai Kark is well made by a little on the sweeter side.

Such a beautiful coffee shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The barista accidentally made my coffee with whole milk, and realized after she gave it to me, she went out of her way to acknowledge her mistake and make me a new one. Most places wouldn’t do that. I had such a great experience here. I highly recommend visiting. Delicious coffee and baklava!

I tried the Sahlab for a non-caffeine option and it was piping hot and pretty tasty! Lots of great indoor and outdoor seating options at this cafe. Service was a little inefficient and didnt feel the most friendly, but I would go again to try some of the other menu items.

This is a really beautiful coffee shop. The decor is very ornate. It's a cool place to sit and spend some time if you can find a seat. The first time, we got lucky and got a table. The second time, it was too crowded but we were able to find a table and seats outside. The service can be very slow which is fine if you plan on linger a while but don't come here if you are expecting to grab a quick drink and go. We tried a few teas and a couple of coffee drinks. The coffee drinks were too sweet for us. The teas were good.

Fun little cafe in San Mateo. Plenty of interesting options here in this Turkish Cafe. Huge selection of coffees, lattes, teas and desserts. Loved trying a few food options too which were new to us. The decor is simple yet very modern Turkish so we enjoyed that. We took menus and sat through the lavish latte and speciality coffee options. I decided to go with the Rose one and that didn’t disappoint. We got a whipped cream milk shake for my son (which was custom made because he wanted to drink with us) and my husband got a blueberry latte if I recall correctly. We liked my Rose latte the best. It was a tad bit sweeter than I expected but my body was happy having this sweet latte. We got a cake and a traditional bread type thing (don’t recall the name) but it had herbs and cheese on it and it was interesting. The place was busy and the service was quick which made our experience great overall. There isn’t a restroom inside the space so we had to use one outside the building inside a garage just FYI for others. Parking is street parking and varies during the day. We were lucky enough to get a good spot near the cafe. Happy to come back here anytime.
